Well, it seems it was my turn to experience the impulse buy gone wrong. Let my loss be your gain lol
I grabbed a Super Famicom Box off Yahoo JPN Auctions a couple weeks back and paid more than I should have for it without doing too much research, and once it arrived the brittle plastic front was shattered in a million pieces, additionally I couldn't get the thing to power on (although all I tried to do was plug it in and didn't go over much of the unit). Usually I'd keep something like this as a project, but I figured that I have a bunch going on and I'd rather get something out of it that I can use. From the looks of it the unit itself is in pretty good shape, boards on the inside look clean, however I believe it might have been stored in a damp location as the cartridge plastic are really dirty (please judge by the photos). I figure this would be good for someone that wants a parts unit to accompany a working unit, someone wanting to get it working (I could be missing something or might be an easy fix), or someone that wants the proprietary cartridges. I will also include the front metal plate as pictured although it is slightly bent.
In total heres what you get:
- Main Unit (no plastics and may or may not work)
- 2 Cartridges (untested, 1 is the bios cart with Star Fox, Super Mario Kart, and Mario All Stars, while the 2nd contains a golf game and Super Mahjong 2)
- 2 Controllers
- Metal Front plate
Really not looking to part out unless someone offers a decent amount for certain components.
My only reference for price is this thread. I'm not expecting anything near the price of a working one as this is def a project or parts so I'm open to basically all fair offers + shipping (or try your trades).
Asking $250 USD + Shipping (Cartridges $100 each and the unit for $50 is my thoughts)
