Super SF2 Turbo Hard Bug

Hi Guys,

I have a blue CPS-2 original PCB that I have no interest in darksofting. However, it’s got the bug where it’s so hard it’s no fun to play at all. Can someone burn me some roms to fix the hardness issue? I will pay well for your efforts if possible. Thank you!

I have not access to my eprom burner here, but if someone can fix this, it can be done by change one byte.

You have not told revision or if the roms are encrypted or decrypted. I suppose it still is encrypted.

Change the byte at $5868 from $97 to $24. This will make the difficulty same as the Japanese region...

I suppose I need to get an eprom burner myself. A bit above my skill level at the moment but I’m willing to figure it out.
 
Have a look at this pic. This is the rom loaded in a Hex Editor. Upper section shows the original and lower section shows the edited rom. The byte highlighted in yellow is all that is changed.
