Hi all, everyone’s favorite clueless noob here.

My CPS2 can’t seem to maintain stable current because of a loose connection in this switch. I want to replace or repair it but it seems like it’s soldered in, but the coatings are plastic. Was wondering if anyone had seen, dealt with, or replaced a similar switch before.

It’s a rocker switch, but I can’t disconnect the quick disconnects for some reason.

they're probably just on there tight; MAYBE soldered on, but I would kinda doubt it. Worst case scenario just snip the wires and re-wire a new switch completely. you can get the same kind of rocker from a local hardware store for pennies.

They were on tight. I might have to snip one of them and replace it since the wiring was exposed. Is electrical tape fine?

I grabbed a rocker switch coming tomorrow or Monday.

I am an idiot though, and definitely forgot to label the wires because I was excited that they came off, so I’ll be tracing it back tomorrow. 2 go to the power supply, gotta trace the others.

put a flat screwdriver between the crimp and the switch and twist it to slide it off
