Hi all.
I have a standard Time Crisis cabinet for years now and for some time now, I've been experiencing since several weeks a very strange symptom, as you can see on this video.
Please note how the game slows down (especially visible on the timer, visible first at the forklift scene) and when slowing down too much, it becomes impossible to fire.
When "half-crowed", sometimes a shot can be fired but when really crowded I'm just stuck.
I'll try to give as many details as I can at this point, and will update this post as long as questions/answers sort things out.
Does anyone have any clue what's going on, or at least where to start looking after all this ?
Any advice is welcome, I love this game and I really want it to work correctly.

- For some time I thought it was because of the heat but the cooling fan is working properly and the air that comes out of the system is still pretty cool.
- There are no graphics glitches anywhere. That's the strangest thing : the GFX are okay. It's like the electronics are running at a lower pace.
- The DSP test menu does not report any fault.
- I replaced all the caps on all boards (internal and external) but it did not make any difference.
- I'm afraid I don't know where to look. I saw nowhere such a symptom on the forums I checked, but maybe I overlooked something.
- PSU is corrently at 5,2V : other settings do not seem to affect the issue. Less than 4,8V takes the game in a boot loop.
- This may not sound so obvious, but when I cannot shoot what you hear is the noise of the trigger only, not the recoil mechanism.
You can compare with the sound at the beginning of the game where you can hear the recoil. It's more obvious at the scene at the end of the video. - At the end of the video I tried to disconnect the gun and the point gun PCB, is case it screws things up, but it does not seem to change anything.
- At some point, slowing down even occurs outside of gameplay, in the advertising demo, so I'm pretty sure it's not because of the gun stuff.
