Taito F3 game's problem( without bgm)

Hi,

One of my friend's pcb came across the problem.although the game works fine except the lost bgm)
The convert game is lightbringer(EU version)

Maybe he assumed the Potentiometer controlled volume like on any other Pcb and destroyed the custom Sound chip by fiddling with it?

Do you have -5v in place? Pretty sure it is required…

Little known fact you can set the voltage adjust in the ballpark with it running if its been messed with. Just measure it from the bottom. (Then superglue it haha)
