Pardon my lack of knowlege but have yet to understand all these viewlix components.
What exactly are these 2 fast io components? See one has a jamma connector and will be in the market for a viewlix in near future.

The JVS board lives in the control panel on a vewlix, and is for connecting the control panel wiring harness (buttons, stick) to a JVS game, such as the Sega Naomi.

The Fast IO board sits in the same spot (in place of the JVS IO) in the control panel, and is for connecting the control panel to FAST IO game (basically something Taito Type X2 or 3). The JAMMA connector, audio, and video connections remain unused when installed in a Vewlix, although theoretically you could use them to adapt a JAMMA cabinet to run a FAST IO TTX2/3. (I might be wrong but I think they were originally designed for the Taito Egrets to adapt them to FAST IO)

I have actually always wondered what the jamma connection side of that board is for. I always kind of ignore it but I definitely notice it. I wonder what could be done with it.

Its for running a FastI/O in Jamma cabs.... lol :)

The Fast I/O was also sold outside of the Vewlix so operators could run NxL from any cab.

"I cant wait to set up my blast for fastio" said someone at sometime im sure

wasn't it originally meant as a kit for cabs like Taito's Egret 3 with the Tri-sync monitor?
Yea, there is also an official conversion kit for adapting the Sega JVS wiring for Taito I/O boards.

Haha you'd be surprised.

The end goal was to get the Nesica service in as many arcades as possible. Not having to shell out $20,000+ for 4 Vewlix cabs made that easier.
