Taito type x3 on namco nior blue cp wont respond

Hi yo players, I'm new to the namco nior blue and taito type x3, I got it in and hook up to what I think is correct, however the control panel is not responding, joystick dosent bring joy and buttons don't do anything not sure what I did wrong, I plug in the USB cable to the jvs output but nothing. Audio and video seems to be working fine, any tips or tricks to make it work

I’ve heard that the Namco Noir JVS I/O doesn’t work well on the Taito Type X systems. You may need to used a different I/O and possibly rewire the cab?

Get rid of the Namco IO and just wire up a couple of Brooks boards...

Wish I knew how, any links to instructions on that project, and it will work with the taito multi?

No. I’m still trying to figure it out. The patch for the x3 is pretty crap for two players. 1 player seems fine though.

Ok so I talk to @davesarcades and he help me out, so you plug in a keyboard to one of the USB ports. Hit the E key to navigate to the settings menu and select enable JVS. Taito will reboot and start working with the namco i/o.

It's still very finicky with the Namco NAJV2.

To use a brook UFB or something similar, what I've done is connect the brook to the female connectors of the Namco connectors and just switch from the plate to the USB encoder - I did something for my Noirs for a 360/PS3/PC setup

I actually don't. I've only really set it up as a 1p.
