FS TAITOTECH Summer order! All panels in stock

For Sale
Crowd sourcing, will this work since it's a lot cheaper than the Taito 2 player harness

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.fr/ulk/itm/173864002976

Looks like there are a few variations, but how about this guy for a Vewlix L 2L14B Panel Overlay in a diamond black.

Will it work similar to the one for $185?
I bought my player 2 harness from him (the guy from france) to me it looks awesome and he do it w.e colors you want if you message him. And got my wei ya harness as well. Though i have not tested it because i got no vewlix yet, seems well made.

Alright so realistically I’ve been so busy for this trip that I haven’t been able to follow up people with invoices or to arrange payment, will try to at some point but pointing out still sticking to the listed timetable. I don’t want any delays in them starting the order since it’s already long.

Another basic question for the Vewlix Diamond Blacks. Do you need a step down converter no matter what, even without the JVS power supply here?

I don't use a stepdown for my blast or Neo 29 so didn't think so.

Anyone know and/or recommend one if you need one even without the JVS power supply?

Thanks

The step down converter in the Vewlix is mostly to deal with the shitty Wei-Ya Power Supplies, so if you're not using one of those I don't think you'd really need one.

FWIW A friend of a friend is a repair tech for Round 1 and I asked him if they use step-down converters on the Vewlix and he said he's never seen them used on those cabs in any of their arcades.

Definitely don't need one if you're not using the Wei-Ya for Naomi or 2x6 of something. You can unplug the Wei-Ya entirely and just forget about it (no sense letting it eat up electricity if you're not using it).

None of our R1's have anything running that would use the Wei-Ya, just PC-style games now.

@twistedsymphony amazing! Just planning on using whatever is stock in there for PS4.

I bought one of these for my Sun PSU if I wanted to power that PSU from the Vewlix and use it to power a Naomi/Netdimm type of situation.

and then hoping the JVS IO can handle the inputs with the right harness and we're rocking and rolling.
You're entirely set then power-wise for anything.

Only thing you'll need is a separate IO for PS4 stuff (and or course wiring from that IO to your control panel harnesses)

how does the IO board get power?

Bought this for a ps4 set up

Will need 2 brook universals, going to get soon

and then this for a JVS set up for the JVS IO

Would be super nice if there was a way to have the same harness work for both or split off to the IOs since I don't find it that likely I'll use both and/or swap out constantly... but I'll at least have what I need for either set up.

Appreciate everyone's input especially on the forum and ebay sellers I bug about this, extremely helpful.

What's an R1? R1 (round 1) like an arcade place?

Round 1 is an arcade/amusement cetner chain that Started in Japan and is now all over the USA: https://www.round1usa.com/category/arcade/

they're arguably the largest importer of Japanese cabinets.

I asked the Round 1 tech I met about Vewlix because most Round 1 locations have a whole section with a large line of Vewlix, Noir, and Lindbergh cabs Running Legit NESICA, All-Net, and e-Amuse setups.

I/O board is powered via 12v from the main PSU.

Yup, all io boards get power from the 12v cab psu in the vewlixs, the Wei-ya was meant for JVS boards/systemt & jamma boards via their jamma kit.

I looked around in their website I see most of their locations are in California but also looks like we have one here in IL, I'll need to check that out asap although I remain skeptical that I'm going to find a place full of real Japanese arcade cabs.

I replied then realized everyone else had before me, I just hadn't refreshed the page...

We've got one here in Kentucky, about 5 minutes from my house.

Round1 is legit, but nobody out here has any idea about these games. Last time I was there they had a whole section of real arcade fighters, shmups, and racing games and not a soul in sight. You then walk around the corner and see a crowd of people around some 4 player gimicky fishing game and you realize this great establishment will soon be gone. :(
