I was cheap and sold my Tekken 2 board in less than ideal packaging and as a result a capacitor came off in shipping. I was wondering what type of capacitor this is and if I could get a replacement on somewhere like digikey.

It’s a 100uf capacitor rated for 6V. I wouldn’t try to replace it unless you’re a soldering expert. I would replace it with a standard radial capacitor with the legs bent outward at the base of the capacitor and snipped off to the correct length. I would then solder it to the pads on the PCB. It will do the trick but will also reduce possible damage to the board trying to put an exact replacement back. Up to you but I think you were lucky the capacitor didn’t rip the pads off the PCB when it came off.

Those capacitor cans are a pain to solder on. The contacts are underneath the capacitor and have that plastic shield around the base. You end up melting the shield using an iron and there’s barely any visible contact to apply heat to. I often use a radial as a replacement. Best of luck.

Sounds good, I’ll update this when I repair it

Replaced the capacitor, works fine!
