Hi all. I’m in the middle of restoring my Windy II and working on a few options re the monitor. While there are plenty of instances of people using MS29xx chassis on the original Windy II tube - I’m wanting to go the other way and use a PB7534 on an MS2930 yoke and tube combo. I necked the OG tube with a faulty MS2931.

I made the required adaptors today and got it going okay, but there is strong side pin cushioning. The problem is there is no apparent SPC adjustment on the PB7534 chassis. Could this be a result of yoke specification differences? They measured pretty close.

The reason I’m not using the 2930 chassis is because it’s busted. I also was keen to keep the original chassis going (after and expensive and long repair) because the wires are the right length to lay the chassis in its proper place above the coin box.

I have the OG Toshiba yoke but not sure whether swapping that is the answer or whether I’m better off getting the 2930 fixed in the US.

Any advice is appreciated.

Well some good news is that i tried the 2930 chassis again using a JAMMA tester instead of a VGA tester and it turned out my signal generator was playing up - not the chassis. So I’m all good - will just have to work out the best solution for the chassis placement and/or cable extensions.
