Hey guys,
I finally got my Triforce that buyee decided they wouldn’t ship, but that’s another story.
I’ve powered it on and the picture was terrible all colours weird , but I got it sort of going after much trial and error. I had it netbook Mario kart and it would get to the splash screen, then lose sync as I think it was trying to display 31hz game mode on my ms9, which can only display 15hz. Which I have the Triforce set too.
I did some reading on here and found the recommendations to recap the media board. Which I have done, being the lowest board in the stack.
But since I have recapped it, the media board is no longer found, it just says “no communication” on the media board test screen.
A plus side the picture is amazing now!
I have tried a few known working net dimm in it and they all show the same fault.
Anyone got any tips. I have checked my caps are the right way around and my soldering looks ok.
The board is a total head case to remove and reinstall, but I think I was careful with all the ribbon cables and connectors. Everything seems seated correctly.
Cheers
