Hey everyone,

I've got a taito type x which I haven't touched in a while but was hoping to consolize it a little bit. I picked up a MP07-IONA-US which I think works but the problem comes with the video out. I remember getting it working on my TV that had VGA input. But I think I may have had a VGA -> DVI adapter or something but can't remember, trying it now it doesn't output anything. I tried with a few PC CRTs but kept saying sync out of range so assuming it's outputting 15khz instead of 31, does the adapter upscale it or does the TTX handle that?. Is there a recommendation for VGA -> DVI adapter if that's what it was or I have a retro tink 5x but don't have a way to connect VGA to it, I'm assuming just using a VGA to SCART/composite would work with that but wasn't sure. Just trying to get some valid options before I start buying a bunch of stuff lol.

Is there a noticable difference if it outputs 15 vs 31 on the TTX?

Thanks

iirc The TTX has two dedicated ports: DVI (31khz) and VGA (15khz). Usually the TTX came with a DVI -> VGA adapter that allows 31khz on VGA.

From my end - If I wanted to run TGM3 on my ASUS LCD with VGA, I needed that adapter to faciliate since the ASUS VGA is expecting 31khz.

If you have a Sony PVM like the L2 series and homebrew VGA BKM-129X, you can plug in a VGA cable from the TTX VGA port into the BKM since the PVM is expecting 15khz.
