Hey guys, I've been messing around with my Type X3 multi (4.1) and it runs great. One thing that has been bothering me though is what (I think) is input lag from the fast IO to the board. Is there any known issues with the Type X3 and fast IO that could cause lag/settings to change? Or maybe I'm just delusional lol

Which game are you playing? If it is not FastIO native then it is being converted to JVS input…

Basically everything I throw at it, feels off. Fightcade, USF4, Persona 4 Arena, Emulator stuff

You know? I've had the same question in my head recently, but I am using a JVS i/o and have noticed lag within the multi. My thought process is that it's the emulator that is causing the lag, but I am not sure. I'm curious to what others have to say.

Glad I'm not insane lol. I will say I tested JVS as well and the lag there is severely worse than the Fast IO from what I've played, there is 100% some issue with how the inputs are translated in that multi image.

Plug a keyboard into it, see if you experience the same input lag controlling the game with the keyboard. Run one of the cave mame games, you should be able to tell if there's any difference, leave the fastio connected also... sit keyboard on your lap, move ship with keyboard, move ship with joystick, compare.

A lot of people also update their cab monitors with those cheap LG 32" screens, nice colours but they have awful input lag.

Don't use usf4 (all versions) for input testing, they have a video wrapper that will introduce lag on the oem X3 cpu/gpu. Always use TTX1 TetrisGM3 (shirase or master mode) or TTX3 kof 14 for a better input lag test, pick K in kof 14 and throw qcf light punch.

Will give it a shot tonight. In general, is there any ways to disable the wrapper in USF4?

On my Lindy I use the multi on a normal pc with a JVS-PAC 2 & a custom ini file so all the controls default to how they would be on JVS, it has a LG 32" 5ms screen.

On my Noir I use a Xin-Mo XM-10 2 Player USB to my Pi4 & use a LG 32" Ultragear 1ms screen.
