Got this board off a fellow KLOV member. Sold with graphical glitches, and came exactly as advertised, no issues there. Sadly, it seems the C board is faulty, which is a CPS-B-13. Swapped all masks and PAL's with known good, and the problem persists. Will be able to absolutely confirm in a couple weeks when a buddy brings a Magic Sword with CPS-B-13. The good news is the A board is fully working, and God knows those are forever in short supply.

BUT, I'm looking at the combination of "H" labeled chips and CPS-B-13, and I don't find a match for this set in MAME source.

I dumped 30h, and it comes back as below. Matches up with other sets but not a US rev H or US 30h. The startup screen has the same date stamp as US rev G and US rev I - 910522.

From romident:
game desc rom name region offset
sf2 Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (World 910522) sf2e_30g.11e maincpu 0
sf2jf Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (Japan 910411) sf2j_30f.11e maincpu 0
sf2jh Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (Japan 910522) sf2j_30h.11e maincpu 0
sf2uf Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (USA 910411) sf2u_30f.11e maincpu 0
sf2ug Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (USA 910522, Rev. G) sf2u_30g.11e maincpu 0
sf2ui Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (USA 910522, Rev. I) sf2u_30i.11e maincpu 0

Worth dumping?

Here's the dump if anyone is interested.

Dumped program roms available here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12XIcqpIjzGgg8iSwnl19A09VN7aHdf2p?usp=sharing

Ran them all through romident. 29B, 30H, 31H, and 36B all match plenty of other versions of the game, including US rev G and US Rev I.

28H, 35H and 38H match only JAP 910522.

37H matches no rom previously dumped. (I re-dumped it just to make sure it wasn't a bad dump.)

Enjoy!

I would say it's definitely worth dumping. If for nothing else so we can see kind of the evolution of what's going down at the factory even if it's just the mix match of different ROMs of different versions it might tell us the history of how things went down behind the Capcom doors. But that's my two cents

Agreed, this will provide clues about how rework/factory mix and match boards got release.
From a data perspective it's worthless, but I'm glad to see this information preserved.

Just a theory here, but it seems like Capcom used the success of SF2WW to clear out old inventory. This is just one more data point that strongly supports that theory. You've got 3 successive revisions, all with the same data stamp, and each using what seems to be more legacy parts.

SF2WW first release was CPS-B-17. The first revision is CPS-B-17. The second revision is CPS-B-18. Then, capcom probably started realizing the golden opportunity they had - start cashing in on the demand, pay some engineers a bit of overtime, and start pushing out revisions (no matter how trivial), utilizing surplus parts. From MAME cps1.cpp (now with rev. H, as of 2 days ago :D):

Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (USA 910206) 90629B-2 STF29 IOB1 90632C-1 CPS-B-17 DL-0411-10012 C632

I find the history of these things interesting. Would be cool if some change logs were uncovered to coincide with the revision history. A couple differences I've noted, from the small collection I have from this list:

910206 AI is more difficult than subsequent releases. It will not fall for the same traps that are inherent to later revisions and even persist throughout the entire SF2 series.
One of the revisions, I think it is rev D (910318; roms are stamped "D", although the above list doesn't identify it as rev D), eliminates some of the re-dizzy combos. They are back in later revisions, though.
910522 seems to be the version that the score chasers prefer, possibly due to easier ability to force double KO. With now (3) known revisions with date stamp of 910522, though, this adds the question - were later 910522 revisions possibly released to reduce double KO (and extension of one's quarter)?

Just some subjective and speculative info there, probably not many people care, but again, I find it interesting. :)

Yeah the way I look at it is as the score chasers we're going to try to get every drop they can out of points. If you can save a second here or second there, those little tiny increments are going to become huge. And what about official sanctioned tournaments? I know that some people don't even play World Warrior anymore but Don't even play World Warrior anymore but are they going to settle on a particular revision? These are all things that do need to be addressed as the road gets tighter. And again from a historical standpoint I think it's awesome to know all this information. I see this as one of those situations that what can become increasingly important down the road.

Does it have original labels?

It was added as SF2EN 'conversion from another game' on nov. 5th because there are no capcom labels on the prog roms.
Do you have a PCB picture?

Yes it has original labels and looks pretty mint to me.
No I don't have a photo of it.

It's running at my local: http://1989.com.au/

It would be good to get a picture of the pcb & eprom labels so we can clear up the situation about it being some sort of conversion in the Mame documentation. If you have a chance to take a decent pic of the pcb, i'll forward it to the Dumping Union and make sure you are credited.

No worries, I'll see what I can do!

Here are some photos of the board: https://imgur.com/a/KLIQMcU

It belongs to Ben Campbell who is the owner of http://1989.com.au/ and was kind enough to open the cabinet to let me have a look.

ha, rev E! Man these things just keep coming out of the wood works.
