Vampire Savior CPS2 Solid Red Screen

It could be the 245 if there is a bad trace but I would say it is more likely to be the EPROM itself - that’s also a lot easier to test for

You guys are incredible. Overwhelming response, to get this PCB (almost) working! Big Kudos for all of you.

It’s been a while but here’s an update!

I haven’t visited Bakersfield yet, though I did visit Don’s Arcade for the first time and that was great.

Back on topic: Luckily my work has an eprom UV eraser and an eprom programmer/reader thing. I asked my boss and am allowed to use those for my personal projects.

I may not exactly know what I need to do to reprogram my faulty eprom, but at least I have the hardware to be able to do so. I plan on looking into it soon! Hopefully my board will be fully functional very soon!

Thank you to everyone!

Apologies for the late reply. At this time, this issue has not been fixed primarily due to taking interest in other projects. I plan to continue this project by seeking out additional help from Anselmo in the near future. He has been instrumental in helping further my knowledge on this subject matter!!

I was reading your post and I would like to give you a tip, the eprom that has a problem is not 3 but eprom 6.
The memory test starts with number 0 referring to eprom number 3, sequentially 0=3, 1=4, 2=5, 3=6, 4=7, 5=8, 6=9, 7=10.
Try removing eprom 6, cleaning the socket and eprom contacts and testing the memories again. If this doesn't work, reprogram the eprom again.

If you need original ROMs, I can sell them. I’ve tested them and they all work. I have several B boards with DL1927 and DL1827 that are broken.
