Hello, I recently got my first Vewlix C and am swapping out some of the controls for a Brooks board instead of the Fast IO board it came with. But I'd like to keep the original coin acceptor, service, and test buttons at the same time so I need to rewire those into the Brooks board somehow.

Is it possible to wire the C connector harness to have pin 1 (Coin SW), pin 5 (Service), and pin 6 (Test) connect into the Brooks board, and then have pin 2 (ground for Coin SW) and pin 7 (ground for Service and Test) both connect into the same ground on the Brooks board?

I'm not sure what to do with pin 3 and 4 for the Coin Meter. I believe I need to supply power to pin 4 (can connect directly to a Molex from a computer PSU) to have the coin meter working to accept coins but not sure where to connect ground to if I do that. Another post here says that pin 3 is ground (https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/vewlix-p4-and-c-connector-schematics.29741/post-422929), but on the schematic it connects to pin 47 on the JVS board which is labeled as 1p-meter. I'm not quite sure what to do with this.

I’ve done this before and you’re on the right track. Do you want the coin mere to count up every time you coin in? I left mine unplugged to keep it as a sign of how much it was used in the field. Later, I added a sub panel with additional buttons so I wouldn’t have to open the cab to use the service and test switches.

Oh, does the coin meter not need to be receiving power to have the coin switch work? That simplifies things immensely since I won't need to provide power.

Yeah if you just want to use the coin mech then the coin wire and gnd to a brooks will work. You can drop in an “any coin” mech too so you can use whatever tokens you have.

Just want to follow up and say that wiring the coin mech worked as described in my earlier post. It took some adjusting to get the stock coin acceptor to accept quarters but I got it working.

My wires aren't super secure at the moment, so I didn't wire up test and service quite yet but the concept works. I'll purchase some spade connectors and an enclosure to secure it at some point in time.
