Vewlix C Monitor Suddenly Out?

Hello AP forums, ive had a vewlix for some time now, but I personally never use it. i kinda have it for guests that come over.

i normally just run a jailbroken ps4 in it, i havent gotten too serious with the Vewlix yet. (too in love with my blasts)


Anyways I go about setting up the vewlix and get it running. Looks normal, and i do a quick button test and volume check.


I thought ," ok cool it works" then i go and take a shower before some friends come over. I get out of the shower to find that the monitor is off......

It has sound, lights and i can hear all the fans working. The control board for the monitor has Green led light.


I tried taking a bright light to the screen , to check for an image, like some other previous posts mentioned.

I was going to check the power supply thats towards the rear back. (assuming thats for the monitor)

i checked the fuse, i know how to check for continuity.... BUT im not sure how to check or where i should even be probing/sticking the red and black to, for power..... also what I should be setting my volt meter to?



if anyone can post some pictures for reference, that would help.


I was considering just trying to fit one of these two monitors..... and just be done with it. but im open to suggestions?

I've worked on a few of the Sanwas out of F/FC and they are prone to dying- they aren't great. Safe yourself some frustration and get that LG in there.

Edit: In my experience anything thats before the blue diamond benefits greatly from a screen upgrade.
 
#1 reason, it was in the list of confirmed working with the latest mount.
#2 reason, i'm primarily using a PC with an Nvidia graphics card and that one supports 165hz G-Sync at 1080p (I didn't want 1440p or 4K.)

Also @Primetrib just did this same mod recently.
 
I'm extremely NOT handy so I've asked a friend of mine to review the instructions here: https://www.arcadeist.com/2020/12/0...de-hadouken-arcade-universal-monitor-bracket/ to translate to me.

The basics are - the only "gotcha" insofar as the default instructions go is that it includes an M4 screw which I guess "fits" better? But the hole is M3. So If you use an M3 screw and attach a washer/bolt to the other side, it'll lock into place without needing to drill out to use the M4.

I still may have gotten it wrong, though.

The thing I keep getting caught up by is what length of M3 everyone is using?

Oh snap i think i saw this page yesterday haha, and it just made me even more interested in changing the monitor. and just copying what he did.


but i will probably take into note about the M3 and M4 thing.
 
No worries but it still might be a while before I do mine, I realized I didn't get gasket tape or an angled HDMI adapter so I'm not even prepared.
