Small update and got side tracked. I picked up another dead board with RF2 and with this one, the processor and the large custom next to it had half their pins lifted from the board. I reflowed all of them and got it working. The RF2 was also working properly. I tried my RF1 on the working board and after reflowing one of the OBJ ROMs, all the graphical issues went away. So I have 2 working carts and 1 working board. I still can't get the original board to boot up to that checksum error reliably. Sometimes it's just garbage and then nothing. I did find one of the RAM chips was bad but even after replacing it, it still doesn't want to boot. I'll probably keep kicking it around because I like the challenge, but at least I saved 2 other boards from the junk pile and now I have RF1 and 2.
