WG D9400 chassis replacement

I have the chassi from 29e I want to try in a Sanwa pfx pm155c yoke chungwa.

Can’t find flat bezel anywhere!

I have tri sync
Wei ya .. 2931d
Pentranic. Rodatron 666
SanwA pfx. Both types x 3 of each
Wells. D2900 x 2 complete lots of chassis variants like d2400

Ms8 25” ( aero x4
29e31s. X3
Ms9 x9
SanwA 27z. X 4

Do they have D9200 chassis though? I have a few flat screen Wells-Gardner monitors taken originally from from Chase HQ 2 cabs. They have D9200 stickers on the frames, but the chassis are all D9400.

i did notice same
Only difference I think was
Settings on the video in pcb
The small jumpers .. set to vga and lack of a analogue connection pcb although they did except analogue through the vga In the analogue socket side think ?
( not sure if components where left off the D9400

I’m sure the d9400 chassis will work on the d9200 monitor. So just let me know what you decide

Yoke readings

SanwA 29e31s
Ohms H = 0.70 V = 5.35.
Inductance H= 0.34 V= 12.75

SanwA pfx kw060
Ohms H= 0.72 V = 7.6
Inductance H= 0.32 V= 11.45

SanwA pfx pb55c
Ohms H =0.9 V=5.7
Inductance H=0.33. v=11.26

Wells Gardner d2900
Ohms H= 0.70 V= 5.71
Inductance H=0.34 V= 7.62

Kortek betson 29-14 tri sync
Ohms H=0.62 V= 3
Inductance H=0.35. V=5.19

Samsung Plano Tv
Monitor A68qcp891x100
Ohms H=1.5 V=7.6
Imductance H= 1.2 V=14.5

Perhaps a d2900 chassi on a 29e31s yoke ?
Or Visa versa ?
I have a pfx on the bench and lots of 29e31s chassis to test so would be good if I could test my 29e31s on a pfx chungwa ?

I still need to test the pfx pm1755c yoke values
But I think I can get values of the list .

Ooh the 29e31s looks close to the d9200. But surely if the d9200 was compatible with the 29e31s to turn it from a 31k to a tri-sync it would be common knowledge? (You only see posts about rodotron 666 and Wei-Ya 3129D being compatible for tri-sync conversions).

Yes I think you are correct … I don’t expect it to function as a tri but 31khz only
The d2900 also has an extra pole on the yoke windings ..


pfx yoke is missing too part of the potentiometer .. I think it’s missing the wiper part.. so that might have effected the readings .. so I will test another yoke with that pot intact..

The other think is
I was only expecting a 31khz chassi
swap.

With either a 29e31s ( curved )on a pfx tube
Pfx Flat so I expect issues there ?

D2900 chassi on a 29e31s yoke & tube
Might be a good prospect though as I have heard a lot of people have this chassis on a curved screen
