I'm looking to get some new cartridge door springs for my AES console since mine are quite loose now, which makes the door sometimes get stuck halfway up. Been trying to find some online, but no luck so far. Maybe someone here knows where I can purchase some replacement ones? Thanks!

This is a torsion spring. You'll want to micrometer the thickness of the wire (it will be called gauge/AWG) then the overall diameter of the loops, plus the length/height. This should help you find an approximate replacement.

I've ordered some springs from a sega mega drive. Looks like it could be a good fit, but maybe a little bit too long. I'll get them in a couple of days or so

Hello again, I've tried the mega drive springs. They did fit, but were too weak to hold up the cartridge doors, so it's not a viable alternative. For the time being I'm going to continue using the original springs even though it's not optimal.
