Why namco system 11/12 Have so garbage/interference video signal? :(

Hi everyone! I’ve noticed interference waves in the picture on my TTT board that change direction depending on how the 5V is adjusted. I tried to locate the source of the problem, and it seems to be the board itself. I’ve checked multiple VGA cables and setups, Super Guns, JAMMA power supplies, and SCART cables—no luck. The interference is always present, most visible on a black screen.


The only thing I’ve noticed is that adjusting the 5V changes the direction of the waves but doesn’t make them disappear. Is there any way to get rid of this issue? The only thing I haven’t checked yet is supplying power through the 6-pin connector on the board.

I’ve checked several Super Guns, and only the Namco System 11 & 12 have this issue. Adjusting the colors in the service menu just masks the problem, but if you look closely, you’ll still see it.


Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Does your supergun mix the video ground, audio ground and power ground? keeping those isolated does good things to clearing up audio and video, and they can interfere with each other if they're mixed.

Is it better when it’s set to interlaced or not?
 
OK guys, I finally figured out what's causing the interference in the picture. The problem is with all my AliExpress Super Guns! I’m not sure why, though.


How am I sure about this? I plugged power directly into the port on the PCB and used JVS to boot the game. The result? The picture is crystal clear.


Can anyone recommend a Super Gun that won’t cause this problem? Or explain why these AliExpress Super Guns behave this way and if there’s a way to fix it?

I'm surprised your LCD supports a low resolution.

I've had the same interference issues if powering the game and the upscaler with the same power source. You have a similar situation. As you don't have an upscaler, I'm unsure of how to resolve.
 
I have a few MiniGun Superguns for sale PM me if you are interested, the HAS is also a good option.

I have upscaler as well and hooked it up with it to the tv for testing but it did no difference.

No problem.

You could also check if the monitor has a DC ground tied to the chassis and if it does either tie it in to the PSU DC gnd or remove it. Make sure it's not an earth ground as you NEVER want to tie the DC gnd to the earth gnd.

Depending on what is causing the interference this may or may not help.
