So after 18 months of waiting I now have two repaired PB-7534-1 chassis. I installed one today and can hear the auto switching working as I change the input on my VGA test dongle.

I’m not getting a picture or any static to the tube. I’m worried I’ve necked the tube a few months ago when I tried an MS-2931 chassis that I thought was working - but no it wasn’t - it arced around the neck when I turned it on. My Windy II tube has no visible neck glow and has a nasty little electrical storm inside it upon power up.

Is this a sign the tube has lost its vacuum?

Yes that tube is no good unfortunately.

No, it was a spare I got with my blast city that was from Zax Amusements. I’ve sent that and the YAJ one to Vegas for Elvis to have a look at. Although he’s gone quiet and I haven’t heard anything for a couple of months. I guess now I have a tube I can plug suspect chassis into. Between you getting me the IO and the chassis fixed, and now seeking out a new tube - this is going to be a long haul recovery.
