Would anyone know if i can replace the nylon bushing a e2 rotate mech and canary? They are plastic and one of mine broke from old age.

unless someone knows of an exact match replacement
You can probably find a drop-in replacement in metal that will last a lot longer

If possible to remove the bearing you'll want to measure the inside diameter, outside diameter, and width and then see what you can find for a replacement that matches those dimensions. these are typically "critical dimensions" with high tolerances so ideally measure with micrometer or calipers if you can. (for what it's worth I used to work for a bearing manufacturer)

You mean these white things right?

That sounds like a perfect thing to replicate and 3d print

Is it the bearing that's broken or the nylon bushing?

If it's just the bushing that's bad you can probably get one machined. I'm not sure I would print that given the amount of stress. would likely need a 100% infill nylon print which would be a difficult print and would likely need additional sanding or machining after the fact to get it dimensionally perfect to fit with the bearing and still operate smoothly.

The E29 parts manual lists this as a single piece called a "Monitor Roller" PN: F90 03142B
I don't know of a scan of the E2 parts manual but I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same part.

Ok this might be of very good info for everyone
I emailed taito out of curiosity asking about the bushings and stuff

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry.

We are afraid F9003142B MONITOR ROLLER is no longer available for sale, nor difficult to reproduce.

Regarding parts for CANARY, the two items are general parts so you may find similar things at your side.
Please search with the wards "IDS-26-B2" and "K-142-B".

The first one got what looks like a perfect match for canary but second not sure if maybe i need to type it in yaj or something but i get nothing. Maybe they mispelled or translated
