Also I feel like you're beginning to be pedantic. Your "gatekeeper" comment notwithstanding, you've said your part and I've said mine. I'm not sure what your point is. EDIT: I didn't mean to come off down putting. To be clearer, the Axun SG is a fine choice and you've made some good points on it, the HAS is also a fine choice, with a bit more work. It's not gatekeeping to say anyone who messes with arcade PCBs today, 30+ year old hardware, probably needs to learn how to wire a simple PSU screw terminal. Also, we the community can help with that.

Not sure what the cost of the PSU unit is when $20-30 or even $40 is not much of a factor in this hobby, but yes, to be clear a recommended PSU is probably $30 today (Meanwell 65-125), vice a cheaper Happ PSU, which is probably $20-30.

The guy said anybody who can't wire up a PSU has no business in the hobby. What could you possibly call that besides gatekeeping?

I love people who post definitions when arguing about a topic and then resort to calling someone names.

Gatekeeping could also be putting down other's opinions on options and insisting yours is the only one that makes sense. Not sure if that's in your Google definition though.

Oh, and I would post your name here to wish you a good day too, but I don't really recall it.

You are the one that put down my suggestion first.

You can find my name by checking your PayPal history from that time you sent me thousands of dollars via friends and family. You know, the very thing you called people stupid for when people got scammed last month.
 
I have a few SGs:
Sigma Raijin
Sega Boardmaster BlastCity
HAS
JNX
MAS
And a home made one

I prefer the Sigma Raijin, has all the outputs I need/want. Built in speaker and has headphone jack, has turbo feature and I think also horizontal picture correction (maybe that is the board master), can adjust the voltage easily if needed. You can customize buttons, built like a tank.
 
Owning a HAS was what got me into arcade hardware
It was my first Supergun I ever owned

Getting started isn't hard and there's tons of resources available
RGB has clear documentation to set up the HAS so its pretty straight forward and easy to understand

There are two solid features I love about the HAS
There are no RGB Pots to tinker with
Video output is accurate with adjustable gamma

Built in Button Mapping and Rapid Fire
