X2 Multi HDD transfer to SSD

Hi,
I have the Multi HDD kit that I purchased from Mitsurugi-w on a different forum. Was wondering if there was a way to clone the HDD to a spare SSD that I have available? I found this thread, which points to the answer being a no...

Can't be copied to another drive. You're going to want to go this route if you want to run a multi on an SSD:

Yeah, I tried to clone my Taito Type-X1's compact flash that I got from ArcadeModBios a while back to a SSD and that didn't work. It would just get to the Type-X splash screen and would stay there with an hourglass.

Having successfully managed to clone a legit Deathsmiles II compact flash that was going bad to a SSD and getting that to boot (with help to bypass a separate i/o check problem), I thought it'd be possible to clone a Type-X1 compact flash multi...but it turned out not to be the case.

That's actually just the windows desktop background. The more you know, or something like that .
