Yellow / White Stickered EPROMS?

I recently picked up two ROM kits and one has Yellow stickers covering the EPROM window and the other has White.

I was curious what the reasoning was for this? I assume it's safe to say they are both legit kits but does this have something to do with version updates or was this simply Sega using whatever they had available during time of manufacturing?

Maybe the yellow ones were programmed by Sega Amusements USA or some third party? I know the eprom stickers used in Europe were often different.

Thanks for your reply. I haven't tested but I believe these are both Japanese kits as ai was told Sega didn't make kits in the USA. It would be interesting if they manufactured Japanese kits in the USA.
 
I'm sure they programmed eproms in the US.

However, you're right, the roms you have are for Sonic The Fighters, not Championship, so they likely originated from Japan.
