Axun Workshop - Supergun-MINI

I don't have any issue using my Taito f3 multi with other superguns. My only issue is with the Axun mini Supergun. Same with atomiswave.

I am thinking it's related to power. Axun mini Supergun has the smallest power supply.
 
Axun has another PSU that he wants to change to but it makes it more expensive.
 
new minigun orders will have a beefier PSU that comes with it.
But the price has been adjusted to match.

Can I order just this power supply?

If I had purchased this Supergun only for taito f3 or atomiswave, my opinion would be that it doesn't work.

I happen to have close to 30 PCB, so I see it's an issue with those specific systems and this Supergun, but that probably isn't the case for most.
 
I would go all in with Axunworks PSU with the proper cable connector instead of that upgraded PSU. This is a beast!

it plays most boards, in this hobby there are too many picky PCBs that a lot of guns have issues with.
other superguns work from Arcade PSUs

Axun tried to go out there and do something different with a simple PSU for people
I feel if your tone was not so negative and you asked for the right help with love, care, and understanding, something could be done for you...

that is why HAS and other superguns use arcade PSU so you can tweak the power,

not only did Axun created something new with a standard PSU , no fuss
but he allows for his minigun to use arcade PSU of your wants. you dont need a Axun arcade PSU any will work

then the other day Axun tells me , i have another standard no fuss PSU that is stronger but its more expensive.
i told him, ditch the old psu , get the new one, and change the price.

it is possible if you seemed nicer, we would hook it the fuck up for you mate

Whoa! I don't think George meant any malice from his response. This just seems to be par for the course with product development, sometimes things don't work out as planned and we find ourselves pivoting to improve the product for the better. One thing for sure is the action response from Axun team: Drfunk and Axun have been impressive. You guys are doing a great job with post sales care and product development. That's the most important thing. Keep up being awesome!

You seem to have an issue taking honest feedback. If you read all my posts, your will see that I had positive remarks about it.

I really didn't expect that the PSU would be under powered and from my perspective, it was a disappoinment. It would not have been difficult to have the power specs on the website.

I stated my experience and people started offering suggestions that really don't apply to my personal situation. I kept, matter of factly, stating what my circumstances are. I appreciate the help in the replies and didn't want to ignore them.

I didn't ask you to do anything for me. I asked if I could purchase the new PSU. And how much it costs. I don't think I've seen an answer to that question yet...

I don't need an answer to that question anymore. I have more than enough hardware to meet my needs, and I was just messing around with this thing.

I know that drfunk2k is emotional, although I don't know what he went through, but it is not very rational. It may have something to do with his personality, causing him to sometimes look surprised when he publishes content, sometimes surprised at his superhuman humanity, and sometimes surprised at how "rude" he is. Here I want to apologize to you.
Regarding the power supply issue, I have been trying to find a low-cost solution with small size and enough power. But some of the feedback from everyone seems to be unsatisfactory. This is the first time I have made a MINI version. I personally don't have so many PCBs to test (this is not an excuse). Therefore, the perfect point cannot be achieved for the time being (the small size and power function are not expensive). Next, other power solutions may be replaced.
If you are only due to a power supply problem, I would recommend you to use a dedicated power supply. I know its size is not small, but it can be used in many places, not only SUPERGUNMINI, if you can consider it, if it can solve the problem for you, I can add a SUPERGUNMINI special power cord as a supplement. Of course you may not need this special power supply. If you don’t need it, it’s okay even if you don’t buy my products anymore. Thank you for your support before, but I don’t want this to affect your mood. I can sell these products because I am also a retro game lover. So sometimes I can understand your feelings better.

Thank you. I never held anything against you, or had any bad feelings towards you or your products.

I used your mini Supergun for 5 hours tonight and enjoyed it thoroughly.

I understand what the deal is with these products. Everyone is doing their best and that's all that can be asked. Nobody has the benefit of a full R&D department. We have to work together as a community.

I wasn't really even complaining about my issues with the mini Supergun. I was just stating the facts of my situation. There was the slightest hint of complaint after @drfunk2k jumped down my throat, but I was defending myself.

As I explained to others, I already have several full size HAPP-SUZO power supplies for other superguns and the big drawer of this Supergun was that it had a more simple power supply.

I'm running 6 superguns in the same small space. I was running 5 because that's all I could fit with the full size power supplies. Your mini Supergun allowed me to go to 6. I literally could not physically fit another full size power supply. I can use it as it is. Like I did tonight. I will just stay away from taito f3 and atomiswave. I have solutions for those that I can use.

Regarding purchasing from you - I'm a fan of your products. I like and respect your ideas and the type of work you do. You are very skilled at what you do. But the thought of having to deal with @drfunk2k is just not appealing. I've seen his antics in the past, and I have no desire to be involved with him in any way. Too much drama, where none is required.

A little history for you.

1. I bought Axunworks products to the international stage. I live in China and bought his products and i loved them. I begged him to share his talents with the world. He turned down this invitation many times. But i persisted. My wife and I helped him to setup the whole method to sale to international customers. All of this was out of love and for free. Though Axun is very kind to me in many ways. From the forum, twitter, paypal, and youtube i helped him bring these things to the world stage. He deserves it. We are good friends.

But i do help him with customers because he can't speak english without a translator.

3. I have no problem with you, but words on the internet come of sarcastic especially after @hyp36rmax post something positive then you posted something lets call it not positive.
I dont want you to leave these messages after a postivie feedback. I would rather you say what you need to make the situation right for you. What we can do to make you satisfied. so your comments come off POSTIVE and not neutral or negative. Its called customer support. If i missed your message i apologize for that.

No thanks. I was never asking you for anything other than a price on a new/better power supply.

I understood the risk when I purchased a home-made product; that it might require some extra attention/money to get it to work the way that I want. I never intended to put Axun out money from his pocket. When you consider the time he must spend on each unit, he's practically giving them away as it is. There can't be much margin in it. As long as it came working with any PCB, I considered Axun's obligation fulfilled.

I'm not interested in your "accomplishments". Good for you. I hope doing all that made you happy and makes you feel good about yourself. I hope others have had a better experience with you than I have. I hope you treated them with more respect than you treated me. That being said - that list really has nothing to do with your behavior towards me or this conversation.

I'd prefer that you just leave me alone and not respond to any of my posts. I don't have the time for, nor am I interested in, the drama that you create.

I come here to learn, post about my experiences related to this hobby, and to help others (if I can). I do not come here to get involved in anything like this.

I'm going to see if it's possible to ignore individual users of the forum. I desperately feel the need to make use of this function and I pray it's available.
 
So far I have run the following without issue on the Minigun: CPS2, Tekken 2 (System 11), Magical Drop (some sync issues on the Retrotink but runs fine otherwise), and a Taito F3 with Puzzle Bobble 3. I did not see *any* issues running the F3, so it definitely might be a situation where the OG PSU can't handle it.

As an aside I have a Hyper Neo 64 as well and due to the acrylic enclosure and the metal housing of the Hyper I am not able to connect it without a jamma extension cable..so more to come there once I get one. All and all I am very happy now.

we use the OSSC here not the tink, but I am still trying to get one for us to test and play with.
 
It's a Tink5x. I don't think it has anything to do with the Supergun, the Tink has some issues with certain arcade sync it seems (The issue with Magical Drop apparently also happens with neo geo supposedly)
