@plasticfactory scored a Daioh and it reminded me a) how cool I think this game is and b)how much I hate that it's a checkpoint game. So if you also suck at these games, but love them anyway, you're in luck! This one byte patch makes the game checkpoint-less. When you die, instead of being brought back for a checkpoint, you just respawn. This is the game's programmed behavior on boss fights and in 2player mode anyway, so all the code was there and this patch just forces that branch all the time.
So, yeah, use Lunar IPS and patch your fg001001.u3 file and credit feed your way through this fun title. I tested a bit with both players, but if you notice anything broken lemme know. @XtraSmiley you'll have to let me know what revision you're running but a similar patch is probably easy on any given set.
