Picked up a pair of initial d 3's that I will be parting out. In the mean time I have been trying to determine what is good/bad on them. So far I have one working naomi 2. One working netdimm. One good powersupply. Waiting on a null pic before I can test the game hardware. Have been using piforce web to netboot.

One naomi 2 boots to a black screen. Its not the bios or the filter board. The netdimm I have gotten working, but its finicky. It sits at checking network most of the time. Swapping the boards with the working unit I have narrowed it down to the middle board. The one that holds the ram. What I am wondering is can you get a regular dimm board, ie non networked, and then put the upper/smaller board that I know works into it to make it a netdimm? Has anyone ever tested this compatibility?

Thanks, looks like this is the case although I may have to update the firmware to accept it. Good to know.
