Does anyone know if the TTX3 multi will work on a gaming PC without the i/o board? I bought a Namco Noir that came with a dell optiplex 3647 running the multi from a SSD and it works great but just wondering why the i/o from the arcade is necessary.

What i/o is in your noir. I assume the multi works with just a keyboard.

I’m not really sure tbh I don’t even know what it looks like but I assume it’s this

That’s not your IO, your JVS IO is at the back of the cab under a removable panel.

Is this it?

What is plugged into the back of your computer for input, is it a standard usb cable? Where does that go to?

I believe it’s a standard usb cable. Here’s a couple of pics of my setup. My Namco noir didn’t come with a monitor so the guy that I bought it from mounted a standard 32” LCD screen TV. Idk how he did it. Everything is running through the dell optiplex 3647 small form factor connected to the USB ports. I removed the optiplex from its shell and transferred everything to a new pc case so I can fit a GTX 960. I also upgraded the cpu to a Intel Xeon E3-1231 v3.

Looks like you are already running it on a pc with no arcade i/o. From what I can tell that’s 3 usb encoders. I don’t know how those are configured to work with whatever you have though, best to ask who you bought it from to see how it is setup.

The usb encoders are for the arcade buttons and sticks. I needed 3 encoders, one for each player and one for the start buttons. I bought the 2 player panel from shadaloo.

I am thoroughly confused on what you had vs what you have and what was working and what you want to run.

This is what I have right now on my Noir. It’s just a dell optiplex running the SSD image to the arcade. I always thought I needed the fast IO running from the cabinet in order to make the ttx3 multi work with my pc. I have another PC that I want to try and run the ttx3 multi image without the arcade but I just wasn’t sure if it was possible.

It's Windows 10 based, it'll run on anything x64 from the last 5 years+

Whether it runs well is another thing, You must have at least a GTX640.
