I'm in the same position as you right now. Securing my first cab and ordered a bracket. I watched the video and had the same question, then came here and saw your post.Thank you, it was embarrassing to publicly admit that - but I'd rather look stupid than have a messed-up cab.
Home Depot isn't going to have much of a selection of metric screws, just FYI.
I ran into the same problem when I was setting up my monitor. I ended up using a dollar store drill bit to slightly enlarge the hole and it worked just fine. Just go slowly and stop once the drill bit goes through.Lol that's what I'm trying to figure out, either A) what bit i need or B) where to get some screws that don't need to enlarge the hole?

There was no need to expand the holes, just used longer m3 screws with washers instead of m4. Worked perfectly
Nopes, not countersunkI guess my last question before I buy screws is, did you use countersunk screws? I assume not since you used a washer?
Man isn't this the truth, I'm so sick of having to go to Lowe's/HD for nuts and bolts literally any time I try to do any thing. I need to just stop being lazy and get some containers printed up and get an order in to McMaster-Carr.You'll save yourself a lot of headaches with a small investment, it's very handy to have the fastener you need "now" instead of having to order it because it's a metric part you can't source locally easily.
Also worth mentioning is a set of JIS screwdrivers; as someone who stripped a whole bunch of screws on my Vewlix, especially the little tiny ones on the monitor frame, which are very easy to strip, I wish I'd had these before I got my cab. Most (all?) of them are JIS screws, which I didn't even know were a thing.Thank you so much. I always mess up things like this so I wanted to triple check. I'll grab a set of m3 and m4 screws, etc!
Don’t be embarrassed, everyone starts somewhereThank you, it was embarrassing to publicly admit that - but I'd rather look stupid than have a messed-up cab.
Those would work fine especially for the monitor mount.Sorry, don't mean to spam this thread with "basic" questions, but this set ought to do the trick, yes?
