so what is the function the of the RCA speaker headphone jack holes and speaker pads on the edge of the CPS2 multi board


im curious to know what all the extra parts represent

This was included in the design on a 'just in case' basis. In order for any of it to work you would need to populate the amp circuit with is not populated on the kits sent out. As it is now you could attach a sound wire like you did with the ST-V cart to play sounds through the pcb's amp to your cab/TV. The problem here is that amp is on the A-board for the CPS2 so it could get quite messy.

Even after all of the above has been said, this feature has not been implemented in the multikit firmware so an update would need to be written and applied for it to work at all.

And we have autoreset now which was one of the main reasons for having the sounds.
