These files are to print a tray or finisher pieces that wall off the insides of the console when using a GD-EMU SD Card adapter on your Dreamcast. This makes it not just more professional looking and visually pleasing but also making it impossible to lose a card inside the console. This also makes it easier to insert and remove cards and there are optional spaces provided for additional card storage; making it more versatile as well.

This SD card Tray comes in two pieces. The base bolts to the console in place of the GD-ROM drive and supports the GD-EMU. The shield is press-fit into the lid to finish enclosing off the area making it impossible to drop your SD card inside through an open lid. There are three different STL files for the base, one includes a set of 4 slots on the left to allow you to store additional SD cards (the slots are staggered to allow easier gripping), another with 5 SD card slots on the right (these are not staggered).. and the third file with no card slots is simply for people who are not interested in this feature. Fitment has been tested on GDEMU Version 5.5. It should work on GD-EMUs version 5.x but will not fit on Version 4.x or older GDEMUs. I believe fitment should work on all Dreamcasts, however if you use this file I would appreciate a comment confirming fitment on other revisions.

You Must use supports on the Shield part, they are not at all needed on the base.
To install this you'll need the 3 original screws from your GD-ROM drive as well as the long screw that came with your GD-EMU.

Unfortunately I'm not a GD-Emu owner but this looks awesome again dude, well done!

Looks awesome, very good work!

I'm going to look for a local printer.
Really need the GDEMU version and hope to be a Phoebe owner after the next pre-order round ;)

Hi
What material should be printed this?
Thanks in advance

PLA works well, this is a low stress part so it should be fine.

I did try printing one with ABS and had some warping on the base so I would say only use ABS if you've got a good handle on preventing warping with that material.

So I finally got to print this on my resin printer, came out pretty decent.

The shield side messed up, my nephew said he bumped the printer in the middle of night :cursing: and that piece broke off, obviously didnt print correctly. He tried to glue and fix it, alas, damage is done, gotta reprint it. I like the way resin printers work, just hate having to do the manual finishing of the pieces after they print.
