If anyone has a JVS I/O Type 3 board (Sega 837-14572) for sale with the cables and etc please let me know. I am needing this to be able to play my Ring Edge 2 Multi since the Capcom I/O will not work with it.

USB at least cause imma use it on a supergun so i know a kick harness would need to be made but at least something so i can play the games on it with either 4 to 5 buttons

you're going to need to make a lot more than a kick harness..

you do know what the Type 3 JVS IOs look like right?

it uses the same pinout as the type 1

if you're trying to hook this up to a supergun you're going to have to build a whole custom JAMMA harness for it.

Instead of a supergun, for a non cabinet Ringedge setup I use a type 3 IO with @Mitsurugi-ws S-JIHP board. I made DB15 to DB25 adapters and use neo style joysticks (or UD converters). For AV I just use normal VGA monitor and PC speakers.

Geez if i knew anyone who would do that that be great lmao.

I might have a spare rev b / something with a jamma edge. Not sure if ringedge works with it, but I could check
I think it should, another member said it did iirc. I think the RE checks the io id to be a sega. This would probably be the easiest route for the OP to go. I know I have a couple of these but God knows when i can find them lol. I have been redoing all my consoles so have sorta gone down a rabbit hole, getting them mods etc...

Ill see if I have one at home this weekend, if not, they are in storage units, so that will take a bit longer to go through. Will let you know.

Rev B seems fine, I booted up a couple games. It plugs in via the jamma edge. I think you have to add kicks to one of the headers. They were like $30 all day on YAJ but here’s one for $60 shipped https://www.ebay.com/itm/154094415352 though I didn’t look for more than 5 seconds!

Vga is for video? I assume? Tho I don’t need it? Mainly the USB to the JVS port then get a kick harness made correct?

may i ask if you know based on the multi is mainly all of them around 4 to 5 buttons? if so i wouldn't need a kick harness then if it mentions 5 buttons is on the Jamma.

Buttons 1 thru 5 are on the JAMMA edge, you'll need an extra loom for B6. Having 1 thru 5 on JAMMA made the rev B JAMMA IO very compatible in blast city cabinets.
