What's new
For me everything is just better on CPS1, for example:

Final Fight > Alien vs. Pred.
Captain Commando > Battle Circuit
SF2:CE > SSF2/T
1941 > 19XX

CPS1 > CPS2 (games, I actually prefer the CPS2 hardware)
Progear > UN/Carrier though...no matter how much I love UN/Carrier
DnD > KotR or MS
Puzzle Fighter > Pang3/Pnickies

There are amazing games on both, and we are all truly lucky to get multi's for both systems, and cabs/guns to play em on!

Magic Sword is not really comparable to DnD though. It’s not really the same kind of game — apples to oranges.

Same with Progear. Bullethell vs non-bullethell? Hard to compare the two. Personally I like non-bullethell games more, even though Progear is a fantastic game.

Also, Pang 1 > all Pangs!
I wonder if it’s possible to run the Capcom Mitchell games off the multi? They’re pre-CPS though, but I wonder if the architecture is similar enough.

If I had to pick one desert island multi, not my favorite game, but the best multi-game system if I could only have one, my Darksoft CPS2 would win free. CPS2 > CPS1 hands down, no competition for me.

CPS1 is a real classic, and very nostalgic for me. Great era, and a lot of very influential titles. CPS2 was Capcom at basically the peak of their arcade prowess. Those games have endured the test of time, and many are still very strong, even without the influence of nostalgia.

Everyone has their favorite games and systems. That's just how I see it personally. Luckily we don't have to choose!

I’m the opposite-CPS1 > CPS2 FTW. It has some of the best platform action games (Ghouls N Ghosts, Strider, Willow, Nemo), the best beat-em-ups (Final Fight, C&D), great shmups (UN Squadron, 1941, Varth) and a good variety of novelty and second-tier games (Knights of the Round, Pang 3, Chiki Boys) .

CPS2 certainly isn’t a slouch for one-on-one fighting games and shmups, but none of its beat-em-ups are as good and the total lack of platform action games puts it behind CPS1 for me personally. But I’m admittedly a Strider superfan.

Alien vs Predator is a great beat ‘em up and CPS2 is easily my most played platform

But I have very fond memories growing up of the local convenience store having Final Fight and Knights of the Round on regular rotation along with SF2WW and Bubble Bobble.

The video store next door mostly cycled between MK2 and KoF/Metal Slug

I made a trainer versión of Ghouls Ghosts and was enjoying this game with infinite lives and invincibility. It's a completely different experience and very good to learn patterns of enemies. Another great advantage of the multi carts and definitely a lot of fun.
I have to do the same with Strider 😀

I couldnt resist and made another trainer, this time for Strider. It's such an undervalued game! Definitely lots of fun in the latest stages.

I guess one of the testers will post his comments anytime soon.

I know it’s a niche feature but I love being able to sd load homebrew and hacks/trainers on mulits. I’ve been testing my romhacks on the MVS multi, and I regularly load modded roms on my cps2. Some of my other multi’s don’t have this flexibility, and when they don’t I really miss it.

This is great. I suck on the later gravity levels on Strider and this will definitely help me get better. The Ghouls & Ghost trainer is great too. I’ve seen the later levels I’ve never been able to naturally get to now :) Can’t wait to see what hackery people come up with when the Multi comes out.

Anyone got any ideas for more CPS-1 trainers or hacks?

In sf2ce/hf vs mode would be really awesome to be able to choose stage. In tournaments when you've been playing for hours it gets very annoying to keep listening E.Honda/ Dhalsim stage music.

All this CPS1 vs CPS2 talk makes me think:
