Apologies to all those who have asked, but I can’t/won’t ship 100 yen coins. I can get in trouble for it.
I can second this. I’ve been asked for it and I’m not willing to do it. I DO get a lot of them sent over, but I’ve heard from multiple sources that it’s not easy. You can’t just go to a US bank and ask for it too, they usually only carry bills, if anything. Not really an option out there.

To keep up with the recent inflation my fee is now 1900 yen per hour for items under 100,000 yen. This is $15.33 USD. The current exchange rate is 123 yen to $1.

For items over 100,000 yen, I charge a flat 7% service fee. For example, if you buy a 150,000 yen game there will be a 10,000 yen (about $80) service fee. These items require more of my money to be used upfront and have considerably more responsibility, so I would like to be compensated as such.

1941 all packed up. Triple bubble wrapped then placed in one box, then placed in another box, then bubble wrapped, then placed in yet another box. That’s right, triple boxed. The recipient of this game had been looking for a long time; I’m glad I was able to help.

Announcement

Shipping to most of Europe via Japan Post EMS is temporarily suspended due to the situation in Ukraine. I can still ship to Europe via Yamato Express (UPS); however, please allow an extra 2-3 days of handling time. The locations close to me are not train or walking friendly. I have to drive to Yamato Express and my wife uses the car on most days; I commute to school by train.

Countries affected: Greece, Malta, Romania, United Kingdom, Germany, Finland, France, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Netherlands, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Denmark, Norway, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Luxembourg

"Sir, I think you made a mistake, this 'Cave' PCB is marked as ¥248,600, you must have accidentally added a zero"
That's literally what happened when I dropped off Futari and 1941. In the case of Futari, it had to go through export customs because it was over 200k.

Whenever I batch ship, I explicitly keep each set of packages under the limit for that reason. Some things are really bad, I've shipped elaborate handmade costumes that are over I think around $800, and there's some strict things they ask about it. Never really had to deal with it with EMS, but FedEx/UPS/DHL can be hard sometimes

I just want to say thanks @Joko3 for helping me purchase 1941: Counter Attack.

One night I was skimming through Surugaya and saw the game was available for sale. I sent over the link to Joey along with the funds and later that day he made the purchase. We waited around a few days for Surugaya to ship it out. Once the game arrived on Joey's end, he did the following:

1.) Sent me up close and detailed images of the A/B/C boards.
2.) Sent me a video of operation.
3.) Played the game from start to finish (several times) to see if there were any issues.
4.) Made sure both player inputs along with sound were fully functional.

After the extensive testing, everything was good to go. Joey packed the PCB up like a tank providing a lot of bubble wrap and other supplies to support it, in addition to triple boxing it giving it the structural integrity to ensure it arrived safely on my end (which it did).

Thank you again for everything. This is something I wanted to physically own for a while; I have fond memories of playing this game with my dad many years ago, so it means a lot to me. I highly recommend Joey's services if you already know what you want from Surugaya, or let him know the game(s) (or hardware) you're looking for in case they run into something that's not listed online.

Another jerk on YAJ to add to the blacklist: rcxd5023

The dude threw a huge passive-aggressive hissy fit because I dared to use a convenience store payment and it was within 48 hours instead of 24 hours (Yahoo allows 5 days btw). I didn't leave feedback until after I tested the game the day after receiving it, so he gave me "very bad successful bidder" feedback; the worst there is. I apologized for the (perceived) tardiness and he shot back with anti-foreigner racist bullshit. Avoid.

Edit: reason for not going to 7-11 within 24 hours; heavy rain and wind all day. He lives in the same area as me too….

Just received another package from @Joko3!
I had a dozen packages that I won on Buyee - some of which had been in storage for more than a year since Covid hit. I gave up waiting for the shipping rates to Australia to return to normal.
Instead I shipped them locally to Joko, who then lovingly bundled them all into a single box using his usual fanatical level of bubble wrapping :)
This worked out to be massively more economical than shipping each package individually to Australia directly from Buyee.

@Joko3 is already working on my next package as I type this!

Hi Joko3 , I created a post about my search for Cave PCB loose or Kit.

I'm in France :)

MP me please

CPS1 that went out last weekend : )
