I also have a GnG that won't boot. Interested to see if it sells, and if anyone has thoughts on what to troubleshoot with one! Mines genuine as well. Good luck W them!
 
I believe you can write the required SIMMs with the Darksoft Multi somehow (I think it’s two 32MB and a 64MB SIMM) and of course bypass security / inject the keys.

I had this stashed away to do a “proper” boot but the Multi serves the purpose of playing Pro Gear just fine.
