What's new
Set input to SNAC and that should be it. I just did this a few days ago with the remote. Super simple setup, set P1 input to SNAC and no other configuration needed.

Guncon works fantastic with this setup. I'm very happy with the remote board V2 and now just waiting on a case.

@imbord3rlin3 is using GunCon 2, though :( (the one that was built for PS2). I think that's why yours (and mine) work ok and he is having issues.

Ah. I'm not aware of what's needed for Guncon 2 for MiSTer. Would imagine SNAX is part of it given the buttons on the gun but there's also the USB plug to consider. I believe that was necessary for native PS2 setup, right? All of it - USB, controller plug, composite video passthrough.

That looks fun. That's a PS1 lightgun? Is it only compatible with the PS1 core or does it work with others?

A more general question. With the PS1 core, Sega Saturn, Sega CD, and similar cores is there any way to add an SSD to a MiSTercade? I thought I saw something about connecting to a networked drive, but I can't find it at the moment.

my guncon2 has just a composite and usb. i think ill just buy a few guncons, a snac adapter, and guncon 2s. ill figure it out eventually. i would really like to stream game tengoku 2 with 2 players

@Lallander not sure, but Guncon will probably work with other cores. I've heard of stuff like NES zapper being made to work outside of the NES core, so I'm assuming similar with other light gun solutions. I haven't tried it first hand yet so I can't speak on what it needed to make that happen.

@imbord3rlin3 you're right. I hadn't looked at my Guncon 2 in a while and forgot that it didn't come with a PSX style controller plug. In any case, probably best to defer to @misteraddons or anyone else who has managed to successfully use a Guncon 2 with MiSTercade, or MiSTer in general. I'd like to know as well.

Just got this mistercade 1.1 version second hand and it works great, however I noticed super turbo has this strange graphic glitch that stays throughout the game. It doesn't go away. I've tried several versions/regions of ST. I feel like I've read about this before but I couldn't find any info on it.
Also when loading a core it shows a button mapping overlay. Picture attached. How do I stop it from showing up?

Are you booting to Super Turbo as soon as you bootup the MisterCade and/or using the bootcore/lastcore function? I ran into the same issue when using lastcore and having the timeout set to the default. Setting it to 30 seconds fixed it. For whatever reason Mister seems to need a little time to "warm up" before loading the Super Turbo core. If you haven't, try waiting a good 30 seconds before loading the ST core.

Just wanna say I have the remote board and it’s been very handy. I couldn’t go back. Looking forward to being able to get the cover box for it.

I just posted this in the Mister FPGA forum, but thought I'd ping folks here in case anyone has a solution and/or noticed this.

Recently I decided to fire up SF2 Hyper Fighting and the game seems to play a bit faster than normal. To compare, I played it on Fightcade 2 (which uses the same "World" romset) as well as on 30th Anniversary Edition and noticed that both play a bit slower than on the Mister. Granted, it should play faster than its predecessors (i.e. World Warrior and Champion Edition), but not THIS fast. Even the attract mode gameplay is significantly slower than actual gameplay.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution to get it to the proper speed?

Cps1 Hyper Fighting is such a weird game. I've been playing it for years and it's the one game mister /mame/ fightcade just can't get right. They get close but the speed is noticeably off when compared with an actual CPS1 board. It's been a while since I looked into it but during the cps1 beta core this was brought up, there was some rambling about the 12mhz crystal, and that's it. But I'm with you, it's faster on the Mister.

How is it on the CPS1 multi?

There's some debate on this, including that MAME (and pretty much every other software emulator) have always gotten it wrong. I'm hardly a high-level player, esp. at CPS1 SF, but a close friend of mine is, and he swears up and down that the Mister runs the game more or less the same as a real CPS1 DASH board with the 12mhz crystal. The non-DASH PCBs have a 10mhz crystal.

I have no idea how you can tell the difference, but there you go.

Has anyone reported this to Jotego? Were the CPS1 customs ever fully decapped?

I know this probably doesn't help, but on the MiSTer you have to enable TURBO to run games at 12mhz. Otherwise they run @ 10mhz.

Hello
I look forward to a new batch of mistercade. I already own in De10nano.
I would like to have a clarification: is the Mistercade XL included in the Mistercade kit lite?

Have you a date for the future batch?

Regards
