I was hoping at least the test menu would be available.

Also, I don't have the plastic part of the motherboard, just the PCB, is that a problem? I know the fan is missing, but anything else?

I haven't plugged it in yet, but I was hoping to verify that the motherboard is ok...
 
The plastic part holds the cart in place and takes the weight off the motherboard, the fan is so small I don't see that doing much. I seem to remember it's there for a specific component

Porchy did work on an F3 motherboard here http://www.jammarcade.net/tatio-f3/ and confirms the motherboard does nothing without a cart sadly :(
 
@brentradio I can ship you my Arkanoid cart if you want to test your setup. I don't think it's playable without the rotary controller which I don't have, but you could at least tell if it works.

Thank you for the offer. I'll just wait until the F3 Multigame is for sale.

The seller I bought it from has 100% feedback rating so I'm pretty confident that it works.

I could actually use an arkanoid F3 cart. I have a spinner and an F3 mobo. If you decide to part with it feel free to ping me.
 
I think the best solution is to have the multicart boot to the last game selected, and then press player 1 and player 2 at the same time to go to the game menu.

I have just tested my EUR F3 MOBO with no cart, in my case a white screen comes on, it tries to boot, then the screen goes black, and cycles back to the white screen. It didn't fry the mobo. I also have JAP F3 MOBO with a busted fan, so I disconnected it, played a couple matches of world cup, no issues so far, although I will add a fan in the future, but it's winter over here now so room temperature is low. :)

I never used a fan on my F3, never got any problems either.
 
I'm excited for the MVS multicart of course... But in a way I'm almost more excited for this F3 multi!
Now if we could that Irem M92 multi, I'd be in arcade gaming heaven.

Actually have a translite marquee, and 1 side of side art for Gunforce....plan on making some kinda framed art piece eventually....great friggin game.
