Dodonpachi Campaign Ver.

Alright! This has been a fun test release. The download will expire tomorrow (but it sounds like @Robbbert is graciously adding it to HBMAME if you missed out (or had trouble building it). Here's what I'll adjust for the *real* release. If I missed anything, drop me a note.

1) XDelta is the new hotness, so I'll probably use that next time
2) The .bat file idea worked well enough for many people, so I'll make one of those again assuming xdelta supports it
3) Many folks use merged or split romsets, and MiSTer update-all does too, so I'll be prepared for that next time. (I use non-merged for simplicity and always forget, sorry)
4) Prepare MiSTer MRA files ahead of time
4) Everyone universally and unconditionally loved this release

Noooo.... not another patching tool. Is this the one that hasn't been updated for almost 8 years?

The new HBMAME should be released in about 14 hours from now.
 
There is also xDelta UI which gives a graphical interface, xDelta > Lunar IPS IMO
 
BOSSES

I can keep this one short and sweet. All the bosses got new palettes. The Big Bee (Kouryuu/Hachi?) and Hibachi look the same. Everyone got bullet pattern adjustments of some sort, but I'm not going to detail them all since that spoils a little bit of the surprise. I'll leave you with this quote:

Didn't had the time to test it during holidays (but download it to be able to...)
I tried yesterday and stay blocked to the "Cave" intro :D
No control :(

Thanks for all the hard work to everyone inlvolved in this!

Are there even any verified owner(s?) of this original Campaign version pcb?

oh... and I guess that person doesnt want it to be released then.. and Cave has most certainly "lost" the original source code as all the japanese companies magically does... they love them limited edition thing they..
 
Well, this isn't going to win me any new friends today.

I just learned some new information, which unfortunately is not my role to disclose right now. Given the new info, it is abundantly clear to me that the best course of action for everyone, especially the shmup community, is for me to pause the public release of my project indefinitely. I'm hopeful that this info will become public in the not too distant future, at which point I expect you will understand my decision (and then, yes, we can be friends again).

Looking forward to what's next :)
