My MT2 is packed away, I'm guessing the JST NH connectors are the M92 end? Is that a 9 pin connector? Care to share the pinout? I had a quick look through the MAME source and couldn't see anything obvious, looks like those connectors might also be used for a kick harness on some games too.
Best way to find pinouts is to look at the original manuals. Mame, as nice as it is, is not reliable for things like this since it’s made for people who don’t deal with real PCB’s.

Yeah, 9-pin JST NH. I wired it to a CPS2 connector because my 3P/4P multiplayer harness going between the cabs uses the CPS2 kick connector for players 3 and 4.
Here my harness. I bought this from @FrancoB, wow, over a decade ago.
It routes the P3 and 4 player controls that would normally come out of the CPS2 aux/kick harness, and connects it to the P1 and P2 inputs of the second cab.
I actually built a few of them for multiple boards I have with 4 player games (CPS1, Sega System 18, Sega System 32, Konami…)
