What's new

Parts I used for Blade's Rpi Loader for Namco 2x6

Chip shortage still remains...,
Just crossing fingers here to see the ODE available again :)

Ok great, I finally got a game I waned to test out. But I can't get it to boot. It is the wrestling game. Got the dongle/CD and I get nothing on boot.

Which game specifically? some of the are 246 or 256 only. You don't get a blue screen on bootup, with 7 dings?
It is Kinnikuman Muscle Grand Prix.
No blue screen.
I need to plug in some headphones to hear sound. I am running out of my Astro City at the moment while I fine tune this Nanao MS-2932.

Wow I can hear the game it is running. Just no video display.

Well - that is good news! Either VGA port can be used - if both of them are dead, there is a inductor and a capacitor to check (I just had this exact same issue with my 256 Super).

Ahhh man that sucks. This thing is brand new and was never turned on.

The blue screen will naturally have no video if the game did not boot properly

Why? Because the Namco board VGA display is controlled by JVS, and the binary blob (firmware let's say) is provided by the game, it's inside the dongle.

If the game did not boot and it jumps to the blue screen, video doesn't come out bc game did not manage to load video blob, usually named JVFIRM inside the dongle IIRC
