What's new
I'll be patient and wait it out - please keep me posted on the pink!
I found a different brand of filament that had a color much closer to "Hello Kitty Pink" and your GD-EMU is ready to order on bit-district.com :D

Happy Father's Day TO ME!!!! Order Placed!

Well, at least I tried to place the order. Your site initially let me add the pink option to cart, then I tried to checkout, and the website then said the item was out of stock and the item had been removed from my cart. When I try to add the "pink" option now, the site says immediately that it's out of stock.

Can you reset it for me and I'll try again?

that pink came out a better match than I expected. Thanks for the pics!

I had a fellow on Reddit who ordered a red one to match his Seaman Christmas edition Dreamcast:

I have the original USB gd emu where the USB port went out the back of the dreamcast. Would you have a STL file with the same 3d model with the USB port closed up? :)

I could do that What color would you want?

Someone on Facebook said that you can remove and flip the USB ports if you wanted an internal version. I'm not sure how much truth there is to that though. I suppose if you got ports that were upside down from the external one so the pins were in reverse order that would work.

I have a 3d printer myself so I'd only need the file if that's ok. I was thinking about flipping the usb but the usb gdrom are so expensive I wasn't going to mess with it, besides that, I'm ok with the external hdd too.

Cool. How hot is under a DC tray?
Why is everyone so concerned with the heat on the USB GDROM? Doesn't the whole cooling system on the Dreamcast sit under a metal plate separate from this assembly and wouldn't it be completely unaffected by the the media setup?

I've added an "external" variant to the thingiverse page, so you basically just have a pocket with no USB port. I haven't tried printing one but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't fit.

let me know how it works out :D

The cooling fan is pretty much open to drawing air from the atmosphere with the gdrom removed instead of drawing it through the air intake vents at the back. It can only help to draw air in the way it was designed.
