What's new
is it good?

This was made/sold by @RGB and was fine, but, generally speaking, you can’t judge a 8 pin miniDIN to SCART adapter just by the picture. There’s no established standard for this adapter so you must be sure buying one with the pinout posted by @jassin000 above.

Always avallable?

Are you using this Hori with your HAS?
How is it connected? Are you using it for any other systems? (Do you need it for any other systems?).
CPS1,2,& 3 down't need their own individual presets. Aside from fighting games, most just use up to 3 action buttons that number left to right. ('Preset 1' if you down want to reach over other buttons).
Presets 1&2 are suggested mainly to work around the fact that Capcom fighting games place Punches on the top row and Kicks on the bottom row.
Most 6 button controllers have B1-3 on the bottom row and B4-6 on the top row which is upside down for those fighting games.
'Preset 3' gives a usable option for 4 buttons on the same 6 button layout.

If you have 8 buttons to play with you can wire things differently, but then i would suggest you mod your Hori stick for DB-15 and connect buttons as you like.
I have modded an 8 button stick similar to yours into a 7 button layout with a hard wired switch to alter layout like so:

1 2 3 4
4 5 6

4 5 6 4
1 2 3

The 3 button games you mention again don't need their own individual presets as they will work fine on 'Preset 1'

I do something similar but hate the top 4th button mself so I use bottom row button 4 on te fightsticks. Matches up with my pinky comfortably. So I don’t use the top 4th button for anyhing and stick a blank there.

Yes I will use my HRAP PS2
preset 1
1 2 3 4
4 5 6

its seems nice for all except MVS for MVS:
2 3 4
1

maybe will use like this:

with it preset 1 run for all.

Guys, unfortunately these cables aren't coming back.

I bought this

Here http://www.oldskoolconsoles.com/product-page/quality-rgb-euroscart-kit-separate-audio but you have to mail them in order to confirm they have this specific adapter; they sell various cables. This is UK based, so good for buying in EU. This comes as a kit, you have to assemble/solder by yourself.
Then you have this (same adapter) https://www.ebay.com/itm/EU-SCART-t...320116?hash=item2f15823e74:g:dsIAAOSwqfNXpcUe from Australia.
And, last but not least, http://etim.net.au/shop/shop.php?crn=203&rn=543&action=show_detail this should be from the original designer/builder of the adapter (always from Australia).

Can confirm, bought same adapter from the Australia eBay listing and works great with the HAS

Anyone used the HAS with a gscartsw_lite before? With the gscartsw_lite thread on shmup there's a big disclaimer about how it could affect Superguns and whatever. I was hoping to use that along with an OSSC and my Live Gamer Portable (capture card with HDMI ports) to record/stream.

If that doesn't work out, I'm open to other suggestions/routes on capturing footage if ya'll happen to have any.

The issue came from the Windy Supergun as far as I know and how it sent voltage out of spec down the SCART line for audio or something.

Anyway, someone with better memory than me can provide the specifics.

I thought it was associated with audio attenuation. Audio was being output too hot from the Windy combined with GScart using a cheap switch that wasn't rated for high current.

Something like that anyhow.

Out of spec doesn't fly with me. I think it's always better to over engineer and not use a switch rated to the exact standard. Switches aren't exactly expensive.

I use the HAS with two daisy-chained gscart switches, but I don't think they are the newer "lite" version - they are the ones with 1x SCART output and 1x VGA connector output.
No issues at all here.

It was a case of rtfm and not having the audio attenuation switch labeled afaik(one side would send 12V down the SCART connector , the other side of the switch attenuated). The good news is future GSCARTs will be protected from it.

I use a Hydra 8-SCART auto switch with the HAS, and have pretty much since day one for my TV setup...

Never caused any issues with the xRGB mini or the OSSC using JAMMA audio supplied via HAS 8-pin mini-din to SCART cable.

I use HAS + gscartsw_lite + OSSC + HDMI cap card for my PVM setup. Works great!
