For Sale
Put me down for one E2. From NYC, probably could work something out with the east coast folks.

I'm in NY (Brooklyn) and would be very interested in an E2 depending on the price.

@Derick2k and @Swirl we could go in on shipping together if ya'll are into it.

Just talked to a friend of mine (also Brooklyn) who would want one as well depending on price.

I'm probably not the closest US member, but if it eased shipping costs for a bunch of people I'd be willing to drive up and pick up cabs and come back down if it's end of the year.

I have storage space for roughly a dozen or so, and able to ship from my storage.

Though I'm not sure that would end up cheaper, or if there'd be some sort of import issues at the border. I'm not really sure how awful international shipping would be as opposed to domestic plus a truck trip. But if it would be cheaper, the offer is out there.

Since I'm getting a lot of pm. I'll answer some question here and add them to the 1st post.

Pricing - I'm guessing 1200-1600 USD per unit. Expect the high end so you dont get disappoint. I'll do my best to work out a deal. Pricing will be slightly above my cost, so I can get a free cab :) Once I get better pictures it will be posted here.

Timing - Exspect end of the year. Looking at the interest I'm most likely doing a container load. Its like 1-2 month once it is on the boat?

Deposit - I'm not taking any until it's in my possession. I don't want to deal with refunds or emergency. I'm working with my contact on a payment plan. Being end of the year In sure people will need funds for Xmas.

Im close by too and would be willing to get in on this if possible

I'd be down for 2 Egret 2s if they are in great shape / close to "new" and have nice burn free monitors. :)

I'm located in Texas, so if anyone else in the area wants in maybe we can work something out.

LOL, end of year Christmas funds? By that time people have spent most of what they are going to spend as gifts are wrapped and under the tree and crap like that .. the other side to that coin is if you wait until after JAN 1st people will have income tax returns and money to burn!

Another thought just came to mind. Does shipping overseas like this, does it mess with the convergence?

Interested in one, if getting to Hawaii isn’t crazy. I’m closer to Vancouver than NYC, so maybe?

It might, but you should be able to address any convergence issues that result from transport by using a degaussing coil (or even the built in degauss button)

I'm down for someone giving me an E2. :P

this is incorrect.

a deguassing coil will resolve any magnetic distortion issues that may arise from transport (which is common due to the crt traveling across the various magnetic fields of the earth)

convergence issues arise from the physical jostling of the machine which could knock the convergence rings or the yoke out of alignment, the only way to resolve those is to manually re-converge the monitor (which is an enormous pain in the ass and not for the feint of heart)

12-1600 sounds very reasonable.

And I'd not worry about convergence issues from being bumped about in shipping. Hundreds and hundreds of cabs have found their way to this continent with few issues, I'm sure this particular batch won't have any worse of a trip.
