Might as well say it since looks like im not getting these.

I was looking to have exact replicas made, already have a metal fabricator/cnc machinist ready to go. I would need to replicate the opto board, hopefully easy enough (was thinking to make usable with mame also) The hardest part would be making the gears I think. All doable.

I was thinking of doing an initial run of 20-30 units to send out to testers to see how they like them and go from there, ofcourse I was gonna pay all expenses to get them made, but I cant even find one spinner to purchase. And no i dont want to spend $4-6K to get beat up spinners that dont even have the capcom emblem on them.

I know what you mean, know a few people that have them, but wont give them up even when I tell'em to sell me one and I will give them 2 repros free if they are made. And of course they will be made.

But I'll keep hunting, im not a person that gives up easily.

After our discussion the other day I reached out to the only person I know who has a set, but they're not willing to go through their storage for them.

Didn't see if you posted on KLOV yet (no home internet till tomorrow) but a bunch of guys over there have cabs. Maybe someone would be willing to lend, even if not sell.
 
I’ll hunt too, as I love the game. If I get one in good condition, consider it a donation to the cause as I’ll know it will pay off with new reproductions down the road.

Ok, just got a buddy on board to do fabricate the plastic parts/gears of the spinner. So at least I go the fab people, just need to get the freaking spinner :D
 
Local guy I know just bought a full cab w/ everything original for $1500 from a guy in CA. I told him the spinners were probably worth that much, lol.

Hey Derrick. Why don't yo contact Doc over at Galloping Ghost?

He's all about preserving games, hes definitely gonna have two working ones, and probably a few spares, and as long as you provided some collateral/return investment, I'd bet he'd be open to your proposal.

Just a thought, but it seems like a solid lead.

I also know a few other folks as well, and will go have a talk with them, to see if something can't be arranged.
Just promise me that if you make these, i'm down for 3!!!

Sky shark pcb....nah...I'm good.

cps1 pcb....there's a multi coming...maybe i should get a spare just in case...

Atari Pokey chips...hide as many as you fucking can...

Forgotten World Spinners...this spare is going in a safety deposit box, away from my home...and when the panels not in use, its getting its own special vacuum sealed case.

Wells Gardner 6400 color vector monitor (for Aztarac...look it up)....well...i've hit the lottery......im done here.

This is the heirarchy, as it was, and always shall be, amen.

Hey brother, I understand, I do... I still have a spare Amplifone high dot pitch monitor sitting in storage for god knows what... That being said, you can play your whole life with some FW spinners and never break them. Likely you'll be gone before they are... no reason to hoard anything, but we do in the arcade collecting business!

Not sure if you're joking, but Derick needs someone with spinners to send to these guys for reproduction of said parts... seems like you'd be willing to send some parts off?
