Namco Ide full setup (minus the Namco 256) has been sold so I will close this post as I imagine most can get a Naomi or standard Namco 256 with disc somewhere more local than me. Thanks for all of the interest.

Ok I will now consider splitting the Brizzo Dongle and IDE/ODE sim from the Namco 256. I would still like to keep the 2 together for now if possible. Both for £400, with shipping included. Alternatively I have the working disc reader for the Namco 256 that can be paired with the main unit.

I wouldn't for now, but it's getting to the point if I drop the price much more I'm sure I could get more for the individual parts. Thanks for the interest though.

Is there any risk to straining the Blast City PSU if you were to run the Naomi netdim system in there? I'd tried to run the Naomi in my blast, which didn't initially but I read somewhere that there may be power consumption concerns overloading the PSU so I decided to run an extra sun PSU anyway...

If anyone has any extra pictures and tips to share on doing this I'd love to hear it, this is the only part of the multi I haven't done because I too am an amateur solderer!

Power directly to card reader was a brilliant idea, I've been able to power the card reader solenoid directly and that works, so obviously it's not getting power through for some reason. I've checked that rail and the 5v is a bit low, I've ran it via a separate sun PSU but still not dice. Also...

Hey Chacal - thanks for that. It's crazy how much easier it looks without the extra C-Conv board for power and with that power cable extension instead! So little documentation online for the C-conv, I'm determined to get it going and document it here for future reference!
