This gonna sound dumb but I had my Sega Naomi with a Raspberry PI flasher working in my Blast City, using a Capcom I/O and it got taken apart when I moved around 4-5 years ago. I've completely forgotten how it's supposed to be wired. I think I have most of it right, but if someone could take a...
Hey I swear I did my best googling first. Can anyone recommend the standard case screw replacements in the Capcom CPS2 B board specifically? I don't need the torxs specifically just the same size/type.
Owning a cab is a slow descent into madness and hell. I ended up having to teach myself the full gambit of CRT repair just getting my stupid Capcom Dynamo cab working. I started with buying one of those universals and my life just got worse from there.
If you really think the tube is...
WAIT! Hear me out.
So I have two Sega Blast Cities. One came with prewired JVS power connectors one did not.
1. On one cabinet, my naomi powers up and runs fine, both via JVS power connectors and Capcom I/O powered.
2. On the other cabinet black screen, using capcom I/O power, naomi powers...
I've purchased a few. Any arcade tech is going to tell you they are hot garbage. The general advice is going to be that you really need to just suck it up and match your tube to the correct chassis which can be an exhausting experience.
*They are extremely cheap quality. Not only is the PCB...
Thanks! thats exactly what I was thinking like if I can power the CF it should probably power the PI. Just gonna order it from Ms to support the forum.
So I get impression it's totally doable, but I want to make sure I'm doing it safely. Should I just tap into the +5v and -5v on the Jamma? If so would it be ok to splice into the harness or maybe solder onto the Jamma male? I'm using a Naomi 1 with a Capcom I/O in this cable, with the Raspberry...
Sorta at the end of my rope with this thing. I bought a Naomi2 with Netdimm off here a long time ago pre-setup for netboot. I finally got around to messing with it over the last month or two and for the life of me I can't get past the "error 01 game not compatible with mainboard". I opened up...
Short answer - The only time you ever need to discharge a monitor is if you're removing the flyback to replace or swapping the Chassis. Otherwise leave it alone forever, unpowered Chassis are perfectly safe to work on while connected to a tube as long as you don't put your greasy mitts on the...
Id parrot that you need to keep track of the cables going from the chassis to the cab/gameboard. If at all possible disconnect these before you pull out the tube. Easy thing to forget if youve never removed a tube before.
