ZN1 Bios <V2> board arrives!

V1 and VFinal side by side...

Not much change overall by looking.... however much easier to install ;)

I have around 6x bios final boards available from this run, contact me quickly if you want one :P

Definitely interested in this for a ZN2 board in the off chance you have any more.
 
I have blank bios boards on hand still, £15 for the blank bios pcb including socket and pins (switch / resistors / ROM chip not included).

322 romboards not sure, they are not easy to put my hands on but more will be ordered soon.
They are £20 each including LS chips + GAL, (but sockets, ROMs + main connector NOT included)
 
Still new to this project so I'm trying to understand what each piece is, but the blank bios board you mentioned was this minus the things you said it didn't have, correct?

Do zn-1 motherboards also have the reset circuit with the cap ?

On another note , I have a beastorizer that goes through all the colour bars on startup and then just goes to black screen.

Not that i know of. they do have a cap on the 3.3v rail that can go though.

Really need to test with another top board, but there's only bloody roar 1 + 2 that run on this mainboard unless you mod the bios.

I just watched your vid explaining the colour bars that come up before the game loads , I should have mentioned mine goes past the green bar to a purple(or violet) /red/blue before it goes to a black screen . What do those mean ?

I also checked the roms and they all come up verified on romident.

If I put another top board (diff game) I get the blue screen right away with an error message

yep, you will as the motherboard will only work with raizing games unless you mod it.

Green bar usually means the motherboard is good / security chips are good.

Probably the top board is faulty (the mach chips failing are also common on these, they are dumped now but not tested yet)

Stupid question but have you tried just letting it run? I have a Heavens Gate that takes a couple of Minutes to boot (was actually about to write the seller when i got it when it suddenly started)
