Looks like that's for just a shock box, the actual cart are ~60, or i'm missing somethingIf you're gonna buy from Ali express, get them from the blaze Pro shop, half the price of that.
found the problem, i'm using J9 instead of j10 on progbk1.What you think guys ? same cart on two different mvs model.
here the model where tha cart is not working: MV1FZ
the other model is a MV1A
Maybe its only due to mx29f1615 ad p rom![]()
My donor carts finally arrived.27c160 as C & V
27c800 as P or double it and use 27c160
27c1001 as M1
and 27c1000 as S1
you can use 27c1001 also on S1 but you have to invert pin 2 and pin 24
Send a picture of your donor please. My donor carts finally arrived.
Hopefully I can tackle this tomorrow.
For 27c160 as P ROM does it go in P1 or EP1?
Thanks.

Hello dude,I attempted to create Golden Axe and Shinobi carts today.
The long story, short, is that Shinobi works and Golden Axe does not...
I'm using identical donors for both carts (Super Sidekicks 2).
Golden Axe just goes straight to the crosshatch.
One time (only once), I got a garbled NEOGEO on the unibios screen, followed by the silent Neo Geo splash (normal). There was some slight garbage in the splash. a little rectangle that didn't belong.
When the attract mode tried to start I got the crosshatch.
The ROM configuration is the same for both. Golden Axe and Shinobi:
m1 - 27c1001
s1 - 27c1001 - swapped pins 2 & 24
c1 - 27c160
c2 - 27c160
p1 - 27c160
v1 - 27c160
v2 - 27c160
v3 - 27c160
v4 - 27c160
Jumpers (same on shinobi):
PROGTOP:
- J1
- J9
- J13
- J16
- J17
CHA256:
- J2
- J3
- J7
- J8
- R1
- R2
- R3
- R4

V1 pin 28 ring came off while I was removing the original ROMS. I expose the copper on the trace and patched a small piece of wire from the pin to the newly exposed trace.
I have the same thing happen to a pin on V1 on Shinobi and patched the same way. It came out better on Shinobi but it's not as bad as the image appears.
Any thoughts?
Hi, I play Name 1975 with original MVS cartridge before playing Golden Axe and I noticed the same dashed line in the plane level. Name 1975 is one of the first Neo Geo game and it's interesting to see some beginner's mistakes on this system: https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxhwO4UTnFEcCHvTzx8Yuo26hRFZfp1SV0?si=aFN3RB9e1lzSZqnaNo need for a video. Fully aware of what's going on, just couldn't get the code to run fast enough to svoid it for all cases. So here we are.
This is what I've done since I'm still waiting for the 27c160 eproms to arriveYou can split the c-roms and use 4x 27c800 instead if you don't have enough 27c160s (my case).
C1 becomes C1 and C3, and C2 becomes C2 and C4.
I opened a thread for cart issues. This is what I've done since I'm still waiting for the 27c160 eproms to arrive
For prom, I' used 27c800, for m1 27c010 and for s1 27c1001 with pins 2 and 24 swap.
I've used a supersidekicks 2 board, with progtop an cha256b boards.
All eproms on the boards, except the V roms (waiting for the 27c160s). I'm assuming I won't get music but still be able to play.
The thing is that the game goes to the crosshatch pattern.
PROGTOP:
- J1
- J9
- J13
- J16
- J17
CHA256B:
- J2
- J3
- J5
- J6
- J15
- J16
- J17
- J18
Can you guys help me spot the problem?
